De zoon van Darville (Y.D.) spreekt Igala (naast Hebreeuws en nog een paar talen). Waar zou hij dat geleerd hebben? Een familieuitstapje naar Nigeria?
De link met Zaire gaat niet zozeer in de richting van de daders of uitvoerders. Ik zie er wel toevalligheden in die een hypothese van het motief naar voor brengt. Men moet zich eens de vraag stellen, welke argumenten of gebeurtenissen in die periode doorslaggevend zouden zijn voor de daden van de Bende van Nijvel. Ik denk dat sommige naar het einde van de koude oorlog aan het speculeren waren. Het einde van de koude oorlog, heeft ook al de Afrikaanse conflicten van de jaren 90 met zich meegebracht. Als men kijkt naar de gegevens van de pistes in zowel de mogelijke daders, als de linken van personen aan de bewijsstukken, alsook sommige slachtoffers, dan is de toevalligheid van een gemeenschappelijke factor naar Zaire en het Mobutu regime niet uit te sluiten.
We kunnen dus niet uitsluiten dat de motieven van de acties van de Bende van Nijvel veel meer een intern Belgische aangelegenheid was, met als doel om bepaalde politieke verschuivingen door te drukken in functie van een Belgisch-Zaïrese agenda. We kunnen de vraag dus stellen, of er voor 1982 elementen zijn gebeurt die de Belgisch-Zaïrese verhoudingen mee hebben beïnvloed? Wel de lijst is tamelijk lang, dus beperk ik mij even tot 2 gebeurtenissen op de vooravond van de 'loden jaren'.
In 1981 heeft Mobutu de nationaliteitswetten verandert waardoor bepaalde etnische groepen hun bestaansrecht, inclusief hun politieke rechten zouden verliezen, wat uiteindelijk geleid heeft tot zijn omverwerping in 1997. In 1982 heeft de Wereldbank een rapport gepubliceerd, welke zonder twijfel de onfrisse financiële praktijken van het regime aan het licht stelde. Zelfs tot vandaag is men op zoek naar dat fortuin.
Dit zal voor sommige ver gezocht lijken. Lees dus ook eens de volgende linken over een historische context hoe bepaalde groepen de strijd voerde om koloniale motieven.
Volgens mijn bescheiden mening zijn de feiten gepleegd in '82 en '83 toegeschreven aan de 'Bende van Nijvel' niet te vergelijken met de feiten gepleegd in '85:
De enige link tussen de feiten gepleegd in '82 en '83 met de feiten gepleegd in '85 betreft de vondst van de zakken in het kanaal.
Hoogstwaarschijnlijk werd de inhoud van de gevonden zakken zelfs zodanig samengesteld, met opzet, met als doel de feiten van '85 te linken aan deze gepleegd in '82 en '83. (m.a.w. de feiten van '85 te laten toeschrijven aan de zogenoemde 'Bende van Nijvel')
De feiten in '82 en '83 werden gepleegd met een ander motief als deze gepleegd in '85.

Volgens mijn bescheiden mening zijn de feiten gepleegd in '82 en '83 toegeschreven aan de 'Bende van Nijvel' niet te vergelijken met de feiten gepleegd in '85.
Volgens de speurders zijn er dusdanig sterke overeenkomsten in de signalementen dat men ervan uit kan gaan dat tenminste enkele daders van de feiten van 82/83 ook bij de feiten van 85 betrokken waren. Ook is bij de feiten van 82/83 een toenemend agressieve werkwijze te bespeuren die in 85 zijn escalatie vond. Dit doet eveneens vermoeden dat het (voor een deel) om dezelfde daders gaat. Dit sluit niet uit dat ze in 85 wellicht een ander doel hadden met hun acties.
Werner, ja boeiende lectuur veel namen die terug komen en het motief kan wel gedeeltelijk uit die kring komen via andere pistes was ik ook al in die richtin aan het kijken. Merci.

I am cooperating with Swedish journalists because I am relying on them to discover precisely which steps were taken, by the Swedish authorities, to identify Jean-Claude "Dravil" (see below) and what they were told by their Belgian counterparts.
NOTE 1: Hans Holmér (now dead) is the policeman who lead the initial Palme murder investigation, and wrote a book about his experiences.
NOTE 2: Lars Ekström (referred to below as the recipient of a telephone call at the Swedish Embassy) has spoken to a Swedish journalist. He does not remember the name of the informer who called him, but says that the name was given, that he passed it on to the Swedish police, and that Swedish policemen went to Belgium twice to speak to the informer. We do not know the name of this informer, the names of the Swedish policemen, or the results of their inquiries.
I am interested in the possibility that an unidentified suspect for the Palme murder, described by Hans Holmér in his book Olof Palme är skjuten! is the same person as a certain Jean-Claude Darville, identified as the No 1 suspect for the Belgian Supermarket Killings. These killings remain entirely unsolved to this day.
This is the relevant extract from Hans Holmér's book:
Lars Ekström som är förste ambassadsekretare på svenska ambassaden i Bryssel kontaktar spaningsledningen och berattar att han dagen efter mordert fått kontakt med en informatör som tidigare bistått den belgiska polisen. 1 November hade informatören sammanträffat met "Jean-Claude", en fransktalende f d legosoldat som åtar sig olika uppdrag mot betalning och som bl a skall ha lett några attentat mot varuhus. Han går alltid beväpnad met en revolver av kaliber .357 Magnum och bor, då han inte vistas i Belgien, i Brasilien.
Tjallaren säger att Jean-Claude nu befinner sig i Sverige och att han haft till uppgift att döda en europeisk statsman. Han har samröre med den franska terroristorganisationen Action Direct och med RAF i Västtyskland. Hans verksamhet skall vara finansierad genom handel med diamenter bl a i Sydafrika. Han är 40-45 ar, 170-175 cm lång och kraftig. Han har ölmage, är blind på ett öga och bär ett yvigt helskägg. Han är kort sagt som klippt ur en agentroman. Tålmodiga efterforskningar leder bara fram till att Jean-Claude möjligen heter Davril i efternamn. Han förblir något av en fantasifigur.

Lars Ekstrom is the First Secretary at the Swedish embassy in Brussels, contact reconnaissance management. He said he was contacted, the day after the murder, by an informer who had previously assisted the Belgian police. On the 1st November the informer had met "Jean-Claude", a French-speaking former mercenary undertake various tasks in return for payment, which among other things, had included leading attacks against department stores. He was always armed with a .357 Magnum revolver and lives, as he does not reside in Belgium, in Brazil.
The informer said that Jean-Claude is now in Sweden and that he had the task of killing a European statesman. He has links with the French terrorist group Action Directe, and with the RAF in West Germany. His activities were funded through trade in diamonds, among others things, in South Africa. He is 40-45 years old, 170-175 cm tall and sharp. He has beer belly, is blind in one eye and bears a bushy beard. He is short, the perfect agent from a novel. Patient inquiries only lead to the conclusion that Jean-Claude possibly bears the surname called Davril. He remains something of a fantasy figure.

Il disait qu'il avait été contacté, le jour après le meutre, par un indicateur qui avait aidé les services judiciaires belges dans le passé. L'indicateur avait rencontré "Jean-Claude" un ex-mercenaire francophone qui entreprenait diverses taches moyennant paiement, y compris mener des attaques contre des grandes surfaces. Il était toujours armé avec un revolver .357 Magnum et habitait, parce qu'il n'était pas domicilié en Belgique, au Brésil.
L'indicateur disait que Jean-Claude était actuellement en Suède pour tuer un homme d'état. Il avait des liens avec le groupe terroriste français Action Directe et avec la RAF en Allemagne. Ces activités était financées par la commerce en diamants, entre autres, en Afrique du Sud. Il a 40-45 ans. Taille 170-175cm et il est malin. Il a un gros ventre, il est borgne et il porte une grande barbe. Il a l'air, alors, d'un agent digne d'un roman. Suite à nos enquetes nous concluons que Jean-Claude porte peut-être le nom "Dravil" et il reste un personnage plutôt mystérieux.
And this is the relevant extract from the 1988 Belgian police statement describing Jean-Claude Darville. What is also noteworthy is that the Belgian police statement say that the source of this information is a certain Henri Damsaint of Sweden.

A fait partie de groupe action pour différents services étrangers. Serait l’exécuteur du couple de bijoutier à Anderlue. Was part of action group for different foreign services. Has travelled in numerous countires, notably Africa, Iran, South America and Brazil where he has a plantation in the province of Matto Grosso next to the plantation of Jean Scramme. Closest relationships: Robert Darville, gunsmith Brussels and Tête d’Oeuf (egg head) not currently identified. Would be the principle organiser of the action groups of the Brabant Killers. Would be the killer of the coup of jewellers in ANderlue. Would have been seen by witnesses during a paramilitary nocturnal exercise next to the slopes of Ronquières in the copmpany of several people, including a woman and a child of about 12 years of age (would be his wife and child). This lead has never been followed up as it should have been. Jean Claude Darville remains (unless further proof contradicts this) the No 1 of the Supermarket Killings.
If we put side by side the English translations of the Swedish and Belgian information, there are striking similarities.

NOTE: A hypothesis for the Szymusik couples killing was illegal trade in diamonds between Antwerp and Milan. I am very interested in Jean-Claude Darville/Jean-Claude "Dravil" for the following reasons
He seems to be protected in Belgium. Apart from the above police statement, he is completely invisible. No-one seems to know anything about him, or investigated him.
Jean-Claude Darville definitely exists and indeed used to have an address at 399 avenue Louise, Brussels. We know his criminal record. It is very violent, in addition to illegal detention of firearms.
The Swedish suspect Jean-Claude "Dravil" does not seem to have been formally identified, unlike Jean-Claude Darville.
The fact that the Belgian police statement is based on information coming from Henry Damsaint of Sweden, is unlikely to be a coincidence.
He is the cousin of Robert Darville, member of (and supplier of explosives to) The Haemers gang.
If Jean-Claude Darville is protected in Belgium. the Swedish police may have been told, by their Belgian counterparts, that they had been unable to identify him.
NOTE: It is unlikely, based on the physical description of Palme's murderer, that Darville was the actual killer. If he was involved, it was in an organizing capacity
Hij was de oom, niet de neef van Robert. Wat mij ook vreselijk stoort is dat er een robotfoto bestaat over een verdachte met een woeste baard en dat de Cel daar met geen woord (maar dan ook geen woord, laat staan een beeld) over rept. We hebben het zelf moeten vaststellen toen die robotfoto toevallig langs de camera passeerde tijdens een interview met de cel door de RTBF.
